FINAL UPDATE
8.9.06: Still no Spongebob news, which is why I've made the following descision. After this update, Chip's Shrine for Spongebob
Squarepants will no longer be updated. The material here now will remain for everyone's use, but I will no longer maintain
the site. You will still be able to contact me regarding the site, and use the rest of the material on the site. The new domain,
spongebobonline.info, will expire sometime in spring of 2007. Once that happens, you will have to access this site using www.thespongebobfansite.cjb.net.
While I've had a great time running this site for about 2 1/2 years, I've decided to try some new things. The past 2 1/2
years were great years, but some new priorities have come in. I'd like to thank a friend of mine who helped me build these
sites, as well as the other Spongy sites that supported me with links to get the site out, but most of all, I'd like to thank
you, the visitor, for your support, and for visiting my site. So here it is, farewell, and best of luck to Spongebob in the
future!!

7.13.06: Here's some news: For the week of July 3rd (the Monday before last) Spongebob ranked #10 in the Nielsen ratings.
It had 3.3 million viewers.
7.11.06: Well, I'm back in town, but there's absolutely no Spongebob news, and I've already checked and found nothing happened
while i as away. I'll update whenever something happens.
6.13.06: Wow... SB news comes amazingly slowly and rarely... What a drag... I'm just posting this update to let you know that
I am going out of town tomorrow (Wednesday June 14th) and won't be back until July 7th, so don't expect any updates between
then and now. Of course, news may come in, but now... you are left to find it on your own!! Gasp!!! Anyway, so long, and well,
bye. I'll be back in July!! -From the Webmaster.
PS: By the way, while I'm gone, you may be interested in visiting one of my favorite websites:

6.5.06: The new Spongebob video game, SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS: CREATURE FROM THE KRUSTY KRAB will probably be made for the Nintendo
Wii (pronounced "We"). Although Nintendo has not yet confirmed this, it is very probable, b/c a playable version
has been strated. For those like me who don't know much about the Nintendo Wii, here are some of the facts:
One of the most radical changes Nintendo has made is the controller. Elliminating traditional controllers where one piece
is held with two hands, the new one will be very similair to a remote control, which will have sensors in it to detect hand
motions and interpret them into moves. In the other hand will be a pad with one simple joystick. For more information on this
radical controller, you can go to http://wii.nintendo.com/controller.html.
The Wii will probably be the cheapest console between the three new ones. The PS3 basic pack is expected to sell for $500,
while the basic XBox will sell for $400. The Wii will probably sell for only $200, and maybe even $150. Nintendo's consoles,
in years past, have usually been the cheapest ones. My question is... what kind of sucker will spend $500 on a video game
console which will be out of date in 1 year?!
6.1.06: Finally, an update!! There hasn't been much news lately, but we now have something. The cover art for the season 4
DVD set has been released. It's... umm... interesting. Some other offbeat news: Only 2 new episodes airing this summer about
a broken spatula and the Krusty Krab wishing well.

4.29.06: If you haven't heard, Nintendo ditched the name of its new video console, the Revolution. The official name of the
new platform will be... Wii? Which rythms with "We." Strange... THQ will also be developing video games of Spongebob
and the Avatar for it.
4.1.06: According the the Kids Choice Awards Spongebob just won the favorite cartoon. Go SB!!!
3.26.06: On April 1st, the Kids Choice Awards 2006 will be airing on Nick. According to the schedule, there will be a Spongebob
marathon progessing up to the KCA. Some new episodes in store as well... !!
3.3.06: Lots of news to report, due to lack of updates. 1) Lost in Time ranked over 8 million viewers, which not only
was the most watched Spongebob episode in the history of the show, it was also the highest-rated program on Nickelodeon in
the past 5 years. Spongebob viewership has increased by 200% over the last year. 2) My birthday is March 11th, this Saturday!!!
That's all for today, thanks for coming!!
2.19.06: I'm short on time, but go to www.spongezone.net to see the big news.
2.11.06: For the week of Jan. 30-Feb. 5th, Spongebob Squarepants rated # 8, 11, 14, and 15 in the Nelson ratings. Spongebob,
by the way, usually makes several spots in the top 15 every week.
2.10.06: Okay, I haven't put any new content on the site for months. So I'm officially posting it: I'm no longer posting any
new content on the site, unless I test some spongy stuff or anything just great that I think just needs to be posted. So here
it is: From this point on, the only updates will be news. Thanks for visiting!! PS: I'm going to be in Washington D.C. next
week, so no updates after tomrorrow until next Monday.
2.5.06: Hurrah! 1&1 was giving away .info domains, so I registered www.spongebobonline.info to this site! Only 1 catch:
The domain won't be ready until about 11:00 ET tonight (Sunday) After that, it should be working! Yea!!
BREAKING NEWS
2.3.06: 1st season episodes of Spongebob are avaliable for downloads on iTunes. Episodes are $1.99 (aka $2) and the season
1 set cost amost $30. Spongy!
1.28.06: For those of you who like the online games at nick.com (I'll admit I almost never look at them,) Nick will release
a new game everyweek. Oh, and did I mention they will be SB games?
1/20/06: United Spongebob has a great description of all the new episodes coming up in February. Go take a look! www.unitedspongebob.com
1.14.06: Happy New Year everyone! Hope '06 has started off very good for all of you. The reason I was posting this was to
let you see "How to spot a blonde antelope," a windows media player file. Unfortunately, I just learned that Tripod
doesn't allow you to upload Windows Media player files (wmv). If you want to, I'll send you the file by email upon request.
Oh well... By the way, still no Spongebob news (as usual). Signing off... Chip
12.27.05: Did you know.... Today marks 5 years ago I was at my Grandparents for Christmas, got sick, and threw up? Well anyway
(hope you're not eating right now!) under the 12.22.05 update, I should have noted that Spongebob reached 3.03333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333
million homes, not 3.03333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333
homes. That is all. Thank you. PS: Daily updates are nice, huh?
12.26.05: Statistics show not many people visited the news page, so I moved all the news here to the home page. Chances are
a lot of you didn't know that I even had a news column.
12.26.05: OK, I've cleared all the Christmas content, as my mom & grandmom are pulling the lights off the tree. Such a
sad time..... Anyway, despite clearing all the Christmas content, I did decide to leave the music page up for your enjoyment
year round, plus, I may do the Christmas makeover again sometime in June or July for "Christmas in July" Thanks
for visiting my site!!
12.25.05 UPDATE: I've removed all the Christmas content and will just wait until later to release the normal website. As I
enter this update, I'm thinking to myself, "Wow, technology is amazing. I'm completely w/out wires, and only a small
box in my lap, yet I'm able to post this update." For you techno geeks out there like me, my house is now a Wi-Fi hotspot,
using a Linksys g wireless router. So, anyway, that's just my blog entry for tonight. I wish you all a merry merry Christmas,
or at least what's left of it, even though probably no one will see this update until after midnight, when it's December 26th,
but anyway, Happy Hannakuh for all the Jews who are starting that for today. At this point, I realize I'm typing just for
the fun of it, so I'll end this update and avoid putting you through the rest of this long update. Over & Out.
12.25.05: Just wanting to wish everyone a very, merry Christmas, or if you're Jewish, Happy Hannakuh. To everyone, Happy New
Year as well. I'll probably take down the Christmas material late tonight. I got a new laptop for Christmas which I'm posting
this on!!!! Over & Out...
12.23.05: Christmas is almost here!!!! Actually, what I was posting for is that I found a report that said reports show that
TV shows, such as the ones on Nick, are promoting unhealthy eating. Let me tell you something, OK? If you get fat, it's your
own dang fault!!
12.22.05: Just to let you know, Spongebob made three spots in the weekly top 15 viewed shows, number 7,12, and 14 to be exact,
between these three, reaching an average of 3.033333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333
homes. That is all. Have a very merry CHRISTmas
12.20.05: Whew... Finally, mid-terms are finished. Anyway, there is no Spongebob news, but two things I felt compelled to
write about. The first, not being so important, is the Wizards of Winter. It's making its way around the internet, but if
you haven't seen it yet, you need to. Carson Williams set his house up to play Wizards of Winter, corrosponding to a (crazy)
25,000 light display on his house. Anyway, click in the link below to see it:
Click here to view the "Wizards of Winter" music house. (It may take a while with dial-up)
12.20.05: The other thing, more importantly, that I wanted to write about, was all this junk about Merry Christmas vs. Happy
Holidays. Frankly, I see it as something to fill up airtime on CNN. Everyone was fine with Merry Christmas until the media
had to bring it up. Did anyone really have a problems with it before? Here's how it works: The United States of America, a
country based on Christian principles by Christian men, has always gone by "Merry Christmas," b/c even if you were
an athiest, it was just understood that most everyone else celebrated Christmas b/c it was Jesuss' birthday. Is it really
something to get that upset about? Survey says that 86% of Americans believe that Jesus is the Son of God, so it should go
w/out saying 86% of Americans also celebrate Christmas b/c it is Jesuss' b/day. So why is it these companys are really worried
about offending these 14%? Let's just say it right now: YOU CAN'T PLEASE EVERYONE!! While trying to please 14%, they succeed
in offending the 86%. Why doesn't it stop? B/C THE 86% SITS ON THEIR REAR ENDS AND DOes NOTHING ABOUT IT!! Apparently, the
14% seem to have greater resolve then we do. I'd like to hear from my readers about all this stuff. I'll post opinions received,
too.
Email me!
12.15.05: I know what your thinking... "Finally, an update!"There really wasn't any news, and this isn't news, just an
interesting tidbit of information I ran over. Remember all the junk about SB being gay? Well, the reason they said that was
b/c he was apparently holding hands with Patrick. Good grief. Merry Christmas, Happy Hannakuh, or whatever you're celebrating,
and happy new year! I may not post again until after or on Christmas (when I'm getting a new laptop!) to take down the XMAS
stuff. I'll also archive some older news later, but I'm not under the right settings to do that now. Over
& Out. Signed, Webmaster Chip
12.03.05: Although this announcement is, well, very late, I "fixed" the music, all the problem was was that you had to
turn your speakers up to hear it. I also made a page that compiles all the Christmas carols on the site, so you can listen
to your favorite one over and over.
Click here to go to the Christmas carol page.
11.24.05 UPDATE: OK, as you see, the makeover has been published, but a lot of music isn't working, but I'll have to try
to fix that later Saturday or Sunday. In the meantime, please bear with me. Thanks!
11.24.05 UPDATE: I've already put up all the Christmas material but I haven't published it yet... I will tomorrow when in
my mind, Christmas season starts. At the touch of 1 button tomorrow, this Shrine will be transferred into Chip's Shrine for
Christmas. I hope you enjoy it!
11.24.05 UPDATE: I'm not sure exactly what the date is, but sometime in early November or late October was the Shrine's
second birthday. Happy birthday, Shrine!
11.24.05: Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!
11.23.05: I archived some more older Spongy news, which means to view it you have to open the word document. (Don't worry,
it's not spyware, adware, viruses, or any of that other junk.) in order to make this news page more organized and cleaner.
The Christmas makeover will hopefully take place tomorrow evening or Friday, hopefully. By the way, (the main reason for posting
this update) according to BBC News, Spongebob is in the news (again) for promoting homosexuality. Ratings do indicate that
it is more popular among gay men. I have one word to summarize what I think about this: Whatever. Here's the longer version
of what I think about this: Just drop this B.S.
11.22.05: Wow! Spongebob dominated the ratings last week (November 7th - 13th) with Spongebob being listed in the top 15 viewed
shows 8 DIFFERENT TIMES!! Continue to watch and support our favorite sponge!
11.18.05: I finally have the spongebob moonwalk pictures up. Enjoy!
Spongebob "Moon Walk"
11.15.05: OK, the redneck cousin post is gone, if you saw it. That's all. Chip S.
11.11.05: I tried to do this earlier today, but my internet connection knocked out, but I've archived the old news so this
page isn't as long. Old news is now avaliable as a download in the Microsoft Word format. Let me know if you can't see it
right. As I've said on the Spongebob moon walk page, (under misc.) I'll put it up as soon as I find my digital camera. As
for the new poll: (It's a new question,) it's always been there, but since no one goes to the contact page, where it was,
I moved it to a more visible place.
11.10.05: I've added products from CVS Pharmacy and Walgreens in the store, so head over there and check them out. As you
see on the navagation bar, I've added a sweepstakes page, that'll be running in the near future. The 1500 visitor, as indicated
on the Bravenet counter on the homepage, will receive a prize, but I think it'll be a while before we get to that.
The Store
BREAKING NEWS
11.9.05: BREAKING NEWS: 20 new episodes confirmed!!!! So there will be a Season 5 making a total of 100 Spongebob episodes.
Tom Kenny, voice of Spongebob, remarks it's very tempting to walk up to a kid and say "Have a great birthday," because
no one associates his voice with Spongebob's. Read the full story at: http://www.cnn.com/2005/SHOWBIZ/TV/11/09/tv.morespongebob.ap/index.html
You'll have to copy and paste that URL in, my hyperlinking feature is down right now. Remember Where's Gary is airing
this Friday, Spongebob neglects Gary, so he runs away. And I'm putting the Thanksgiving look up right now, so after Thanksgiving,
I'll go straight into the Christmas look. I may post some new stuff in the store as well. later!
11.6.05: "Where's Gary?" aired Friday night. I missed it, though! Oh well, new episodes coming this Friday! Now,
I probably will not put up the Thanksgiving look, if I do, it'll probably be only a few days before that Thursday. However,
if I do, I will go straight into the Christmas makeover, probably that weekend after Thanksgiving, so when the desert look
disappers, it's gone until after Christmas. By the way, email me and tell me what YOU want the site to look like. There are
a variety of looks I could do. Maybe after Christmas I'll test some of them...
11.3.05: Halloween look gone, Thanksgiving look? Maybe next Saturday. Pictures, again, will have to be posted later, although
I added a page for the future review of the spongebob moon walk. But, as the page says, not here yet. I also got that new
counter on the news page b/c I want to know out of anywhere between 10-60 visitors a day, who actually reads this news pages?
The first 6 hits are mine, though.
10.31.05: New episode descriptions are avaliable on spongezone.net, as well as rumors to a DVD with new episodes. Right now
I can't go into detail and I'll have to post the SB moonwalk pictures later. Don't be surprised if the Halloween look is still
up tomorrow. The Thanksgibing look will probably be put up next Saturday or somewhere aroudn there, and then straight to the
Christmas makeover! Over and out!
10.28.05: Here's something interesting: Tuesday night was the annual neighborhood halloween party. this year it was hosted
at my house. Lots of little kids live in my neighborhood, so the host almost always rents a moon walk for the party. This
year, we had a Spongebob moon walk! I took pictures of it and will post them later under the Misc. section
10.23.05: As you may have relized, Spongebob Online has crashed, and I don't think it's going to be back soon. As you also
may remember, the owner quit updating it shortly before, so I'm removing SBO from the Links section. Also, you may notice
that the navigation bar has been re-organized. I've tried to put what I think are the most important pages near the top. I've
also added a new page, Misc, a good place for all the stuff that wasn't in a good place
10.22.05: Bill Clinton is teaming up with Spongebob Squarepants and Dora the Explorer to fight childhood obesity. Read the
full story here:
Bill Clinton fights childhood obestiy
Also, as a late Christmas present, China will be receiving the gift of Spongebob, on television. Read that story bellow:
Finally: Yesterday (Friday) I was in CVS/Pharmacy getting a snack and noticed that before Halloween ended, Christmas stuff
had already been pulled out, which reminded me that Christmas is right around the corner, and that (before you know it) the
Shrine will have its 2nd annual Christmas Makeover. This year, I'm expecting to have some new songs, too. Currently, we're
thinking about Halloween.
Please note that by reporting this news story the Shrine does not in anyway give endorsements or imply favoritism toward Bill
Clinton.
